Description
These flat cables are especially designed for travelling elevators.
Construction:
Cores: The cores are situated in adjacent groups. A slitting cord in each group permits easy opening of the jacket during installation. The cables show no tendency to twist as the adjacent cores are braided with opposing twist directions. The cores are doubled insulated with white and black PVC and are printed with white numbers so that positive identification during assembly is guaranteed. One core is yellow/green.
Jacket: The black outer sheath specifies, the type of cable. It is also metre marked. This enables fast installation and eliminates scrap. For high elevator conveyance distances, cables with additional supporting elements are used, normally made up of steel strands placed on both sides of the cable.
Standards and specifications:
In addition to the types listed in the catalogue, all in compliance with CENELEC standards, special constructions are available, such as different numbers of cores or integrated telephone cores with copper braid screening. Fire resistant cables:
Find also the halogen versions: N05Z1Z1H6-F, NOhal elevator cables: flame retardant and halogen free types (IEC 60332-1). It is a fact that especially buildings with elevators are prone to the danger of rapid fire propagation to upper levels by means of the elevator shaft. Our NOhal cables generate neither smoke nor toxic gases. Also available in NOflamm as fire retardant version (IEC 60332-3).
